The Copper Pot

"The Copper Pot"
A Brick Oven Eatery

On Sunday the Mr. and I went and took engagement photos in the cute little town of Clarkesville, GA! We had an absolute blast being all cute and lovey for the pictures! (I will let y'all know how that went on a later post) Afterward we went to the only restaurant open which was a brick oven pizza place! It was fantastic! Quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had (and I'm not that big in to pizza).

Mr. also had a salad but we forgot to take a picture. He had a goat cheese and walnut salad with cranberries and the house dressing! It was superb.
  • yummy (did I mention it was freezing in North Georgia?)

  • We ordered The Big Cheese Pizza that had 3 types of cheese! Goat cheese, mozzarella, and something very sharp! Slices of Heaven!

We also were given this delicious dessert. Pizza dough covered in cinnamon sugar and fried with melted icing to dip.
    BLISS!

This was a fabulous meal to end our day!

    Rosie's Coffee and Tea Shop

This is Rosie's Coffee Shop. Located in downtown Winston Salem NC this little coffee house used to be home of the Brew Nerds coffee. Brew Nerds used to be my absolute favorite coffee shop when attending the anual Homeschool convention. The dashing lady is now renting in the Nerds former coffee laboratory.   She as made it in to her own! Rosie's is sweetly managed with individual attention and care.
This is my mom ordering one of the best Cappuccino I have ever had!!

For breakfast my mom a cinnamon something (which she said was wonderful) and I had a blueberry muffin and a fantastic cappuccino!
Rosie's Coffee shop had the best on the go breakfast! I would recommend this place when traveling through Winston Salem. Also before you head there check her Facebook Page to see any specials she might be offering. But even with out a special her prices are very modest!
If I were you I would not pass this place up!

    Our Not So Formal, Formal

It's that time of year when girls buy expensive ball gowns with matching shoes. Invest in tanning and getting their hair and makeup done for one all important evening called "Formal/Prom." A night dreamed about for years. Having a man at the girls side who has a matching suite and plastered smile on for all the many pictures and video's the parents will dish out.
As for me, I have never seen the point in going to prom or formal. I would much rather go out to a nice dinner with some friends or go on an intimate date with my boyfriend. The idea of spending way to much money on a gown, food, and having to listen to what I call "baby making music" all night in the hopes of having the night of my life, just doesn't appeal to me in the least. My opinion of this might change but until it does, having dinner with friends is a much better way to spend my evening; and that is exactly what I did.

    La Dolce Vita
In Athens, Georgia is where my posy and I decided our formal would take place. An upstairs loft to a beautiful street in Athens was the setting for this Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was decorated in art all along the walls, a homey open view to the kitchen, and Italian music think in the air. Our night was filled with laughter, friendship and wonderful food! La Dolce Vita has the best Lasagna I have ever eaten! I would strongly suggest it for anyone! Our meal was also started with warm toasted bread and Olive Oil for the table to share! The night was fabulous and I can't wait for the next visit. This is a great place for a one on one date, or for a group of friends!!
